I am married to Engelina and we have a son named Murray and a dog named Rumpert.
I like to read, discuss, and write theology.
I subscribe to Paste magazine, which says I appreciate art in the form of music, literature, and film.
Much of what I write about pertains to my journey in following Jesus. Typically this kind of person is called a Christian, but in recent years I’ve noticed this title carries a lot of baggage for which I try to distance myself. I believe that following Jesus means living and telling an alternative story – the good news. Gospel is more than being republican. Gospel is more than being against abortion. Gospel is more than going to church every Sunday.
I am more interested in writing and living a gospel that brings heaven closer to us.
